This year, Nicholls will join our sister institutions on the lawn of the capitol on Tuesday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We will focus our legislators&#8217; attention on our proximity to the coast and how our unique programs at Nicholls are fighting to protect Louisiana&#8217;s coastline.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>The day will feature academic displays from each institution, performances, a spirit competition, lunch prepared by our own Chef John Folse Culinary Institute, and a program featuring Governor John Bel Edwards.<\/div><p><strong>Nicholls students, employees, alumni and supporters are invited to join us for<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #cc3333; font-size: 24pt;\"><strong>ULS Day at the Capitol<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #cc3333; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Tuesday, March 31<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #cc3333; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>in Baton Rouge<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p>ULS Day at the Capitol will be a fun-filled day for Nicholls and its sister institutions to come together and show the importance of higher education in Louisiana. Set on the beautiful front lawn of the state capitol, there will be performances, spirit groups, food and more.<\/p><ul><li><strong>ULS Day Lunch:<\/strong> 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Capitol Lawn \u2013 featuring lunch by our very own Chef John Folse Culinary Institute, academic program displays, and various performances from each university.<\/li><li><strong>ULS Day Group Photo:<\/strong> 1:30 p.m., Steps of the State Capitol<\/li><\/ul><p>Nicholls will have transportation available for participants. The bus we be parked in front of the student union and will leave campus at 9 a.m., depart from the State Capitol at 3 p.m. and arrive back at Nicholls around 4:30 p.m. Participants traveling to Baton Rouge on their own are asked\u00a0to meet the Nicholls group at 10:30 a.m.<\/p><p><strong>Please register below to participate and indicate whether or not you would like a spot on the Nicholls
