Joining the CAA helps the athletic department provide a first-class experience for 415 student-athletes across 17 sports. Your contribution to the CAA Excellence Fund supports athletic scholarships, academic resources such as summer school, operational expenses, coaching salary supplements, and facility enhancements.

How are gifts to the CAA used? Gifts to the CAA are used in a variety of ways including: Scholarship Support, Academic Support, Facility Enhancements, Salary Supplements to attract and retain the highest caliber coaches and staff, and operational expenses that are not budgeted due to unique opportunities that inevitably arise each year.
Can I support all Colonel sports in one membership? Yes, you can support all 17 sports by joining the CAA.
What separates the CAA, and each sport specific booster clubs such as: HuddleUp!, Coaches Committee, Fast Break Club, etc.? The short answer is account and incentives.

CAA – CAA Excellence Fund Account, Athletic Director
HuddleUp! – CAA Football Account, Head Coach Football
Coaches Committee – CAA Baseball Account, Head Coach Baseball
2. Incentives: SWAG, Gear, Merchandise, Experiences, and Access
CAA, HuddleUp!, Coaches Committee, and other Sport Specific Booster Clubs each have their own swag, gear, experiences and exclusive access separate and aside from each other.
Why should I join the CAA if I plan to join HuddleUP! or Coaches Committee, etc? Joining the CAA puts membership dollars in the Excellence Fund supporting all 17 Colonel sports helping the Athletic Department meets the needs of each sport.
Can I join multiple Sport Specific Booster Clubs for the year? Yes, each sport specific booster club drive begins just before the start of the sport season.
Can I join multiple Sport Specific Booster Clubs at the same time in one membership?
No, you can not join all booster clubs in one membership.
Individual booster membership dollars go to separate designated sport accounts and each membership has its own unique incentives including swag, events, and access.
Membership to Sport Specific Booster Clubs are seasonal.
If I join a sport specific Booster Club like Huddle Up! or the Coaches Committee am I considered part of the CAA? YES, you become a REDSHIRT member of the CAA BY DEFAULT when you join any of our Sport Specific Booster Club at any level because ALL sport specific clubs fall under the umbrella of the CAA.
You WILL enjoy all the incentives of a REDSHIRT CAA member in addition to the sport specific membership incentives including swag and access designated by the sport specific booster club you join.
Joining a sport specific booster club will provide a multitude of benefits separate and aside from donating to the CAA Excellence Fund.
What Sport Specific Booster Clubs does the CAA Offer? The Colonel Athletic Association Booster Clubs include: Huddle Up! (football), Coaches Committee (baseball), Diamond Club (softball), Record Setters Club (Cross Country/Track& Field, Under Par Club (Golf), Goal Club (Soccer), and Fast Break Club (Women’s Basketball)
Where do my membership dollars go? Membership dollars go to individual CAA Sport Specific accounts designated.
Is my CAA membership or Sport Specific Booster Membership dollars tax deductible? The Colonel Athletic Association operates under the umbrella of the Nicholls Foundation. The Nicholls Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Tax ID# 72-6031425. Your contribution is tax-deductible minus the value of the goods or services received.
When is CAA Membership recognized? All contributions to the CAA are recognized on a July 1st to June 30th fiscal year, but the annual CAA membership drive begins with the Seafood Extravaganza each year and members will be recognized from their date of membership each calendar year.
When are Sport Specific CAA Memberships recognized? Sport Specific Memberships are recognized at the start of each sport season.
Ex.) Huddle Up! Memberships begin just before the football season each year due to the season incentives of special exclusive access to events and swag.
Coaches Committee membership begins just before the baseball season each year due to the seasonal incentives of special exclusive access to coaches committee area and swag.
What is the difference between a membership and a donation? A membership includes swag, access to exclusive events, areas, and experiences. A membership is tax deductible minus the goods received for the contribution. General donations are gifts or contributions fully tax deductible as you did not receive any goods or services in exchange for this gift.
