Welcome to Nicholls State University’s Office of Human Resources (H.R.). We are responsible for a variety of functions and services relating to Personnel/Human Resources.

H.R. is the central office for maintaining the official personnel records for all faculty and staff of the University.

Other responsibilities of this office include the processing of all employment appointments; advising faculty and staff regarding staffing and employee policies and procedures, compensation, benefits, and state and federal rules and regulations concerning employment; employee relations and staff development including on-site workshops and training, new employee orientation; disseminate information about employee benefits; coordinate worker’s compensation claims. Our office also is responsible for the Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity programs for the University.

In-Person Ethics, Sexual Harassment & Cybersecurity Training

Each October, during National Disability Employment Awareness Month, or “NDEAM,” we celebrate the contributions of workers with disabilities. We also reaffirm our commitment to ensuring all Americans—including Americans with disabilities—can put their skills and talents to work. Reflecting the importance of ensuring disabled people have equal opportunity to prepare for and succeed in employment, the theme for NDEAM 2023 is Advancing Access and Equity.

Having established myself as a trusted advocate and liaison for every employee, I work daily to develop a culture that exemplifies Human Resources as a true resource for employees and students by being visible, approachable, and engaged in the well-being and betterment of all employees and the University as a whole.
