EGTC 101. Engineering Career Exploration. 0-0-1. This zero-credit course is designed to provide pre-engineering students and those considering an engineering degree with a comprehensive introduction to various engineering disciplines. Through a series of presentations by industry partners and faculty, students will engage with the engineering design process, applying foundational concepts to real-world challenges. The course aims to help students make informed decisions about their academic and professional future by connecting them directly with professionals and projects in the field. The course includes explorations of career paths, discussions of real-world engineering challenges, and presentations by industry careerists. It also serves as a central channel for important Wm.  EGTC 231.  Mechanical Engineering Technology I.  3-3-0.  Prerequisites:  C or better in MATH 101, MATH 102, and PHYS 101.  Introduction to mechanical systems, engineering graphics, materials, manufacturing processes, and measurement techniques. Emphasis on practical application, safety, and interpreting engineering documentation. (15.0899)

EGTC 251.  Electrical Engineering Technology I.  3-3-0.  Prerequisites:  C or better in MATH 101, MATH 102, and PHYS 102.  Introduction to electrical principles including DC and AC circuit analysis, electrical components, and measurement techniques. Emphasis on applied problem-solving and preparation for laboratory work. (15.0399)

 EGTC 271.  Surveying Technology I.  3-3-0.  Prerequisites:  C or better in MATH 101, MATH 102 and PHYS 102.  Fundamental surveying principles, measurements, leveling, and basic mapping.  (15.1102)

 EGTC 281.  Energy Molecules and Transformations.  3-3-0.  Prerequisites: C or better in CHEM 105 and CHEM 106.  Introduction to chemical and material structure, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and nuclear processes that govern production, storage, and conversion of energy across fossil, hydrogen, bioenergy, nuclear, solar, and emerging energy technologies. EGTC 282.  Energy Molecules and Transformations Laboratory.  2-0-6.  Prerequisite:  C or better or registration in EGTC 281.  Experiential learning with energy-relevant molecules, materials, and systems.  Characterization of fuels, electrochemical devices, bioenergy products, nuclear, and solar technologies through experimentation, data analysis, uncertainty estimation, and technical communication.  (40.0599)

EGTC 331.  Mechanical Engineering Technology II.  3-3-0.  Prerequisite:  C or better in EGTC 231.  Applied mechanics, fluid and thermal systems, machine elements, and systems integration.  Emphasis on troubleshooting and real-world applications. (15.0899)

EGTC 332.  Mechanical Engineering Technology Laboratory.  2-0-6.  Prerequisite:  C or better or registration in EGTC 331.  A hands-on laboratory course focused on measurement techniques, manufacturing processes, materials testing, and mechanical system operation, including practical experiences in fabrication, instrumentation, and technical reporting.  (15.0899)

EGTC 391.  Cybersecurity for Technology and Engineering Systems.  3-3-0.  Prerequisites:  C or better in MATH 101 and CMPS 233.  Principles and practices to identify vulnerabilities, protect digital infrastructure, secure embedded and industrial systems, and respond to cyber threats, including real-world applications in networking, control systems, Internet device connectivity, and engineering environments. EGTC 410.  Project Management for Engineering and Technology.  3-3-0.  Prerequisites:  C or better in EGTC 331 and EGTC 351 and C or better or registration in EGTC 371.  Project management principles for engineering and technology environments, including technical planning, resource allocation, system integration, and use of industry-standard tools in engineering and manufacturing contexts. EGTC 411.  Research and Development I.  2-0-5.  Prerequisite: Senior standing and permission of the school director.  Selected research problems under faculty supervision to develop a hypothesis, design an experiment, collect and analyze data, and write a research report in a scientific journal format.  (14.0101)

EGTC 412.  Research and Development II.  2-0-5.  Prerequisite: C or better in EGTC 411 and permission of the school director.  Continued development of research projects under faculty supervision with specific emphasis on product development, manufacturing, and patent development.  (14.0101)

EGTC 421. Internship. 2-0-5. Prerequisite: C or better or registration in EGTC 410. Immersion in a professional engineering setting under supervision of mentors in industries and agencies of the workforce. (14.3001)
