The Nicholls College of Business is AACSB-accredited, a distinction held by less than 5% of business schools worldwide. The College of Business offers the country’s only maritime management degree concentration designed and supported by industry leaders.
Nicholls ranks in the 85th percentile of public colleges and universities when it comes to helping students move from the bottom 20 percent of income distribution to the top 20 percent after graduation.
Nicholls provides 80% of the Bayou Region’s teachers. Nicholls is highly respected for producing award-winning teachers, principals and administrators, including more than 90 percent of the Lafourche Parish Teachers of the Year over the last five years.
In recent years, Nicholls biology students and faculty have spearheaded coastal restoration efforts including growing, harvesting and planting over 30,000 plants in coastal habitats.
