Mathematics Program

The university awards two degrees from this department, the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and the Master of Science in Community/Technical College Mathematics. A student earning the Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics must complete the curriculum listed below, with one of the indicated concentrations in Advanced Mathematics, Computer Science, or Secondary Mathematics Education. Students are encouraged to inquire about their concentration focus areas with their advisors or the department head.

Minor in Mathematics

A minor in Mathematics requires the completion of MATH 165, 166, and 265 and nine additional hours to be chosen from MATH 355, 358, 360, 405, 407, 423, 461, 465, 471, 481, 482, 485, 488, 491, and 495. A grade of C or better is required in each course.
