SPAN 201. Intermediate Spanish I. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: SPAN 102. Reading with more emphasis on comprehension as well as oral and written expression of the language. Controlled conversation in the language and a review of the basic principles of grammar. (16.0905)

SPAN 202. Intermediate Spanish II. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: SPAN 201. Comprehension as well as oral and written expression of the language. Controlled conversation in the language and a review of the basic principles of grammar. (16.0905)

SPAN 303. Advanced Spanish Composition and Conversation. 3-3-0. Drill in original composition in the language with attention to style, syntax, idioms, and verb forms. Class discussions in the language. (16.0905)

SPAN 312. Advanced Spanish Grammar. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: SPAN 101, 102, 201, 202 or equivalent. Intensive study of grammar and syntax. (16.0905)

SPAN 318. Advanced Composition. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: SPAN 312. Further development of essential grammatical concepts to develop descriptive and narrative compositions in the target language. (16.0905)

SPAN 324. Advanced Spanish Conversation. 3-3-0. Prerequisites: SPAN 101, 102, 201, 202 or equivalent. Emphasis in communicative competency and mastery of language structures. (16.0905)
