FACS 464. Professional Practice in Family Services. 3-3-0. Prerequisites: FACS 131 and 334, and senior standing. Must be taken semester before FACS 493 and 494. Theory and practice of interviewing, helping, and enabling individuals and families in a community agency setting. FACS 493. Child, Family and Social Services Internship I. 6-0-40. Prerequisite: Permission of department head. 240 hours of work experience in the intern’s major field of interest in family and consumer sciences (child, family, and social services). The course provides a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks of work experience in the intern’s major field of interest. (19.9999)

FACS 494. Child, Family and Social Services Internship II. 6-0-40. Prerequisite: Permission of department head and completion of FACS 493. 240 hours of work experience in the intern’s major field of interest in family and consumer sciences (child, family, and social services). The course provides 6-8 weeks of work experience in the intern’s major field of interest. (19.9999)
