Pre-Engineering
Pre Engineering is a two year curriculum for students who plan to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at another institution. The typical pre engineering curriculum listed below will vary according to the institution that the student plans to attend and the engineering field selected. Students must consult the pre engineering advisor early in their freshman year regarding the selection of electives and changes in the typical curriculum to meet their particular needs and the requirements of the institution they are planning to attend.
Students majoring in pre-professional curricula like Pre-Engineering who leave Nicholls before completing requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree may have completed all requirements for the Associate of General Studies degree and would be entitled to receive that degree. Such students should contact the Department of Applied Sciences for an assessment of eligibility.
In addition, some coursework completed at professional schools may be applicable toward a Bachelor of Science degree at Nicholls. Therefore, students who leave Nicholls before completing requirements for the Bachelor of Science and who attend professional school may have completed acceptable coursework toward a Bachelor of Science dgree and would be entitled to receive that degree. Such students should contact the Department of Applied Sciences for an assessment of eligibility.
