As you may know, Nicholls State University is partnered with ProctorU for online exam proctoring. To make an appointment, test-takers create an account at https://www.proctoru.com/portal/nicholls (link available in the Moodle ‘Useful Links’ menu at the top of the page). Next, login, click the Schedule New Exam link and select the exam, date, and time desired. Test takers will receive an email confirming the reservation, and a countdown to the nearest exam is shown. Students taking an exam through ProctorU must-have equipment meeting certain requirements. Please visit the Proctor U site to view the requirements: https://www.proctoru.com/proctoru-live-resource-center. ProctorU allows test-takers to schedule an online proctored exam immediately or by appointment. All appointments should be made at least 72 hours in advance or students will be charged extra.

Below are the testing options. Choose the best one for your class, test, and students.
Review+ (Live launch with Professional Review). Select this under Department in the Exam Settings through ProctorU site
Students go through the same start process described for Live+ and are launched into the Auto platform which will record the session and flag suspicious behavior. Once an exam is submitted, a certified ProctorU proctor reviews the session and submits an incident report, if cheating is suspected. ($10 option)
The option for Review+(Live Launch w/ Professional Review) is in the department menu of the add new configuration page.
Review+ automated. – need an extension in browser and schedule in Moodle Quiz
This software-only service is fully-automated, meaning your students will not interact with a live human unless they encounter technical issues. They will go through an automated identity verification process and be recorded for the duration of the exam. The artificial intelligence-driven platform will flag suspicious events. After an exam is submitted, a certified ProctorU proctor reviews the session and submits an incident report if cheating is suspected. Students will pay $6 for any exam duration. As an instructor, you can toggle on ProctorU while editing an exam in Moodle to enable the service. This option will work with Chromebooks.

Live+. (ProctorU) (price ranges between $15 to $25 depending on the length of the exam)
This is not recommended for courses that were not originally listed as WWP. Fully live proctoring to ensure integrity violations are prevented. Requires a web camera on the student’s computer.Live+delivers the highest honesty effect on your students and eliminates the need for faculty review, time in honor court hearings, delayed grade finalization, and administrative overhead associated with the student disciplinary process. If cheating is suspected, the proctor sends the instructor an incident report. It can be used for 3rd party exams. It does not work with Chromebooks or mobile devices.
