Even though the pandemic still hovers, the Center for Bayou Studies continues to highlight the unique cultures of our bayous for our students and faculty at Nicholls.

A Zoom Presententation Medicinal Plants du Vieux Temps

Sponsored by the Louisiana Folklore Society and the Louisiana Division of the Arts Folklife Program, Marlene Breaux Toups will present a workshop about French healing traditions.

She will share her knowledge through two Zoom programs:

In French​ on March 9, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. to attend in-person on the Nicholls campus, please pre-register using the email ​traiteuse2021@gmail.com​. State your name and your affiliation (Cercle francophone, Nicholls State University student, etc.) In-person registration is first come first serve, and due to social distancing guidelines, limited to ten people.
