EDAS 535. Program Evaluation. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: Educational research or equivalent. The role of a school administrator as educational leader and supervisor in using qualitative and quantitative information for local school improvement. EDAS 536. Application of Evaluation Methods. 3-3-0. Prerequisites: EDFR 501 and EDAS 535. The role of an evaluator using qualitative and quantitative information for educational assessment and evaluation within local school systems. Qualitative methods using case studies, empowerment evaluation techniques, and ethnographic analyses are used. Quantitative methods employing the use of Factor Analysis, ANOVA, CANOVA, MANOVA are introduced. Sp only. (13.0401)

EDAS 537. Issues and Trends in Educational Leadership. 3-3-0. A review and analysis of current trends in educational leadership with specific emphasis on school facilities, school personnel administration, and group dynamics. Su only (13.0401)

EDAS 581. Federal, State and Local Education Law. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: Completion of foundations core or permission of department head. Basic legal concepts and principles influencing the establishment and operation of school systems. Current court rulings, doctrines, and trends. Sp and Su only. (13.0401)

EDAS 593. Administrator’s and Supervisor’s Workshop. 3-3-0. Course intended to meet needs of in service personnel. May be repeated for credit whenever content is different. Not applicable toward any graduate degree. Workshops are organized on special topics. S or U assigned upon completion of course. (13.0401)

EDAS 594. Internship in Educational Administration and Supervision. 3-0-6. Prerequisites: 12 semester hours of credit in Educational Administration and Supervision. Enrollment is limited.
