Curriculum and Instruction – with Concentrations in Early Childhood, High Incidence Disabilities, or Reading

Prerequisites

A valid permanent-type teacher’s certificate and 18-24 hours in professional education as appropriate for the level selected. Candidates applying to the High Incidence Disabilities Concentration and option in Applied Behavior Analysis are exempted from this requirement.

Applied Behavior Analysis Option:

Individuals enrolled in the High Incidence Disabilities concentration who wish to be eligible for CABAS ® and BACB Behavior Analyst Certification must take the courses required in the ABA option. Individuals enrolled in the High Incidence Disabilities and Applied Behavior Analysis Option must take all foundations and professional core courses designated for HID plus EDCI 534, 539, and 549.
(Note: EDCI 534 is designed to substitute for EDCI 540)
