CAMPUS INITIATIVES

Naming of Streets and Buildings

Nicholls State University is currently seeking to rename the streets and the buildings that house the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences and the College of Sciences and Technology. A task force that includes students, staff, faculty, alumni and the community has been charged with identifying possible names that have significant meaning and impact to the university and the Bayou Region.

Diversity and inclusion are key components of the university’s mission. Our diversity and inclusion efforts will cultivate a vibrant learning, living and working environment on our campus, where we welcome all cultures, perspectives and experiences. We accomplish this mission through collaborative initiatives that promote equity, advocacy and inclusive engagement.

The task force will provide updates throughout the process, and we will ask the entire campus community for feedback along the way.
