Assistantships

Graduate assistantships are available in departments and program throughout the campus. Graduate assistants are employed by Nicholls on a one-semester basis. GAs work 20 hours per week (16 hours in a summer session) and are paid a stipend on a monthly basis. Full assistantships also include a waiver of tuition.
A student must be accepted into a graduate program to be considered for an assistantship. GAs must also earn at least six hours of credit each semester applicable to their degree. Application forms for graduate assistantships may be downloaded below or obtained from the offices of the Coordinator of Graduate Studies of each college. |
To apply, a graduate student must submit:
- Graduate Assistant Application
- Transcripts
- Resume
- Three recommendations (applicant evaluations)
- Unclassified Employment Application
- Criminal Background Check form
