The Student Publications program at Nicholls State University encompasses two student run publications: The Nicholls Worth, a weekly student newspaper, and La Pirogue, the campus yearbook. Both publications are staffed exclusively by students of various majors and classifications. The program provides students with an opportunity to discover working media while gaining valuable experience in teamwork, management, writing, photography, design and advertising. The program is part of the Department of Mass Communication.
