The LSBDC network provides low or no-cost guidance and training for small business owners and potential business owners. Part of a statewide network supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Louisiana Economic Development (LED), and host universities, the LSBDC serves Louisiana businesses through confidential consulting, group training, and business information resources.
The mission of the LSBDC is to enhance the economic well being of the citizens of Louisiana by providing comprehensive, high-quality assistance to existing and potential small businesses. We foster the formation and growth of small businesses in order to expand and diversify the Louisiana economy. We are committed to implementing both the initiatives of the U.S. SBA and Louisiana’s master plan for economic development.
The Louisiana small business development centers, located throughout the state, sponsor various workshops, conferences, and courses each year. Instructors include LSBDC staff, private-sector professionals, government experts, and university faculty. The programs are priced nominally to serve the small business community.
