Experience Life In Thibodaux
Located an hour south of New Orleans, Thibodaux not only serves as the home of Nicholls State University, but it is also home to great restaurants, festivals, shopping, nightlife, and our own Mardi Gras celebration, with parade routes running through our campus. Students can experience all that the bayou region has to offer, with many locations within walking or rideshare distance.
Thibodaux has popular rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft, along with popular food delivery services Waitr and Doordash.
Within walking distance to campus, you can find many restaurants, pharmacies, banks, Urgent Cares, even a Nicholls-themed grocery store and salon!

Entertainment
Thibodaux is the official location of both the Acadiana Music Festival and the Thibodaux Fireman’s Fair. We are also less than an hour away from a host of other fairs and festivals such as the world famous Jazz Fest.

If you are looking for exciting nightlife, look no further than Downtown Thibodaux, a place where you can find everything from coffee shops, boutiques, late night spots, and exciting events such as Art Walk and Thibodauxville hosted by Thibodaux Mainstreet.
