Trisha Rabalais is a designer, book artist, lettering artist, and self-described “curator of paper ephemera and other beautiful things” working in Thibodaux, Louisiana. After graduating with a Bachelor of Art degree from Nicholls State University in 2002 and a Masters of Fine Art degree with a concentration in Visual Communication from University of Houston in 2005, she worked for Times Infinity Branding Studio and interned at Sotheby’s in Houston before taking a position at Nicholls State University. In 2022, after sixteen years at Nicholls and freelancing, Ms. Rabalais became a Professor of Art.
Trisha has become as well known for her service learning projects as she has for her client work. Over the course of her tenure at Nicholls State University, Ms. Rabalais has incorporated service learning design projects for over 51 non-profit entities spanning across the state of Louisiana including the Bayou Country Children’s Museum, City of Thibodaux, Crimestoppers Bayou Region, Center for Bayou Studies, and NuNu.
In addition to keeping a consistent freelance design business, Ms. Rabalais is also an experienced and widely-exhibited book artist. Her artist books have been on display across the United States and Canada.
