The undergraduate certificates in the College of Business offer concentrated study and training so as to prepare students to meet workforce needs. Completion of a certificate program provides students a credential in these areas thereby potentially increasing their value in the workplace. You may complete an undergraduate certificate prior to completing a four-year degree or as a stand-alone credential.
Students pursuing a certificate must meet all requirements and pre-requisites for each listed course. All certificates in the College of Business require 18 hours with a minimum grade of C in each course.

Undergraduate Certificate in Foundations of Business Analytics
An undergraduate certificate in the foundations of business analytics requires 20 semester hours with a minimum grade of C in all courses. A minimum of 12 credit hours must be completed at Nicholls State University. Courses include OIS 200 or 202, QBA 282, QBA 283, CIS 370, CIS 470 and either (CIS 485 + CIS 490) or (MNGT 367 + MNGT 425).
Undergraduate Certificate in Foundations of Management
An undergraduate certificate in the foundations of management requires 18 semester hours with a minimum grade of C in all courses. A minimum of 12 credit hours must be completed at Nicholls State University. Courses include MNGT 301, 15 hours of 300 or 400 level courses, one 300 or 400 level Management course may be replaced by either MKTG 470 or MKTG 475.
Undergraduate Certificate in Foundations of Marketing
An undergraduate certificate in Foundations of Marketing requires 18 semester hours of 300 or 400 level, with a minimum grade of C in all courses. A minimum of 12 credit hours must be completed at Nicholls State University. Courses include MKTG 300 and 15 hours of 300 or 400 level courses.
Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Applied Business
The Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Applied Business is a certification program designed for individuals who have earned a baccalaureate degree and are seeking functional competencies in business administration. The program focuses on those individuals who are working in an organization or in their own business who are in need of a general understanding of the core business disciplines of accounting, economics, business law, marketing and management and should not be considered as equivalent to a comprehensive business degree program offered by Nicholls State University College of Business. It provides an option for adult learners who are interested in furthering their education without pursuing an additional four-year degree.
A Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Applied Business requires a baccalaureate degree, university admission, and successful complete of 18 semester hours with a minimum grade of C in all courses. Courses include ACCT 205, ECON 211, ACCT 206, MNGT 301, BSAD 221 and MKTG 300. A minimum of 12 credits must be completed at Nicholls to obtain the Certificate. A request to transfer up to 6 credit hours can be made for equivalent coursework completed outside of Nicholls with approval of Department Head.
