Petroleum Services Programs
The university awards the Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Services to the student who completes the course work listed below. The curriculum is designed for personnel employed in the petroleum industry or for those seeking employment in the petroleum industry while attending school. All classes are scheduled to permit attendance of persons employed on a rotational schedule up to fourteen-days-on/fourteen-days-off. The curriculum of technical, people‑oriented, and safety courses prepare the student for middle‑to‑upper level management positions in drilling or production operations, or for the service and supply segment of the petroleum industry. Students may choose a concentration in Safety Technology (PSST) or Exploration and Productino (PSEP) by completing the 21 hours of courses specified. Students may choose a minor in one or more of the following areas: Safety Management, Petroleum Exploration & Production, and Disaster Management (DISM).
