2021 QUEEN NOMINEES
Symphony Brown is a Senior Nursing major from Thibodaux, LA. She currently serves as the Student Body Vice President, and is a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority, Panhellenic Association, Lady Legacy Leaders, and NASAN. Throughout her years at Nicholls, she has found joy in serving her student body and community, achieving academic excellence through her studies, and cheering on her beloved Colonels at various sporting events!
Taylen is an Education major that values serving and loving others. Currently she is the SPA Vice President. She has served as an Orientation Team Leader and she is a member of Phi Mu Sorority currently serving as Vice President. One of the most important things to Taylen is her Christian faith, which she is able to share through her involvement in Chi Alpha and Delight Ministries.
Lexi Delatte is a Birth to Five/Special Education senior from Thibodaux, Louisiana. She is a proud member of the Dyslexia Center, Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Mu Kappa Eta, Orientation Team, along with numerous other campus organizations. She is passionate about serving her community and advocating for students with learning disabilities. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, nieces and nephews, in the outdoors, and traveling.
Madison Liner is a senior Mathematics major from Houma, LA. During her time at Nicholls, she has been a part of many organizations serving in many leadership positions, such as Honors Program President, Circle K District Governor, Mathematics Club President, SGA Senator, and Phi Mu Sorority Service Cabinet Head. She is also a member of NEAT, Phi Eta Sigma, and Alpha Lambda Delta. Madison plans to continue her journey at Nicholls by pursuing the Mathematics Graduate Degree.
Aarati is working on getting an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance. She is from Kathmandu, Nepal; Nicholls has been her home ever since she started college in August 2017. She works as a Resident Assistant (RA) in the Scholars Residence Hall and is responsible for building community spirit in the residence hall. Aarati is also involved in Nicholls Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council, SGA Election Commission, Nicholls Beta Alpha Psi, Nicholls Beta Gamma Sigma, and Nicholls International Community (NIC). Her involvement on campus has helped her to learn about Nicholls and South Louisiana as well as make amazing friends.
Born and raised in Cut Off, Louisiana, Meagan Rousse is a Junior majoring in Mass Communications and minoring in Vocal Music. Meagan is very involved on campus. She is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and serves on its E-Board, is currently Supreme Court Justice of the Student Government Association, Orientation Team, and works in the Marketing Office on the Social Media team. While not in school, Meagan can be found acting on stage or in films.
Taylor Roussel was born and raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She is a Junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in English. Taylor is currently the President of the Student Programming Association, as well as an active member in numerous organizations on campus such as Delta Zeta Sorority, Panhellenic Association, Psychology Club, University Honors Program, and Colonel Catholics. She is so fortunate to be able to attend a university where she has the opportunity to make a difference.
2021 KING NOMINEES
Andre Bourgeois, a native of Thibodaux Louisiana, is a senior majoring in Health Sciences and pursuing minors in Biology and Psychology. After graduation, Andre plans to attend physician assistant school. Andre is involved in several organizations on campus including Kappa Sigma Fraternity where he serves as Grand Master of Ceremonies, Student Firefighter Association, Circle K, Allied Health Club and he is a Nicholls Ambassador. He is also a member of Thibodaux Fire Company Number 1.
Connor Cheramie, from Lockport, Louisiana, is a senior at Nicholls majoring in Secondary Education. He is currently completing his teaching residency at Bayou Community Academy in Thibodaux. On campus, he serves Saint Thomas Aquinas Church & Student Center as Music Coordinator, and he previously worked as a student worker in the Office of the President. He is active on campus as the president of the Nicholls Education Association of Teachers and a member of Colonel Catholics, the University Honors Program, and more.
Lucas Hatch is a senior pursuing a degree in Health Sciences with a Pre-professional concentration and a minor in Biology. He has been an active member of the Nicholls State University baseball team throughout his four years at Nicholls. He is an active member of the Allied Health Club, Biology Society, and Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society. After graduation, he plans to attend physical therapy school, where he will receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Grant Pellegrin is a senior majoring in Business Administration with a minor in management. He grew up in Houma, Louisiana and Graduated from Vandebilt Catholic in 2017. Grant is involved on campus with Circle K International, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and the 6th Man Basketball Band. Grant strives to be a role model for everyone he meets.
Zackary Pitre is a junior who was born and raised in a small town called Cut Off, which is located forty-five minutes south of Nicholls State University. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and serves as an Education Senator and Judicial Committe co-chair in SGA. He is pursuing a degree as a secondary education major with a minor in history. His focus in college is to achieve the traits of a leader, a scholar, and a gentleman.
Wesam Reemawi is a senior from Houma, Louisiana majoring in Biology. Wesam currently serves as president for Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Also, he served a term as secretary for Student Programming Association his Junior year. He is a member of Phi Eta Sigma, Tri Beta, Pre-Professional Medical Association, and Order of Omega. Some of Wesam’s favorite hobbies are hanging with his Fraternity Brothers and attending Nicholls events such as football game
Trevor Tabor is a Junior from Bayou Blue majoring in Mass Communication – Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. He serves as the Entertainment Director for the Student Programming Association, is an active member in the University Honors Program as well as other honor societies, and sits on several university committees. He is also the Student Employee for the Office of Student Affairs. Trevor is grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of all Colonels.
