Nicholls ranked No. 8 out of the 25 schools selected and second in Louisiana.
“[The ranking] indicates that people respect the history program we have,” said Dr. Paul Wilson, head of the history and geography department. “We are a very affordable program, and there are a variety of courses in history being taught by good faculty.”
To create the rankings, the website considered degree investment return, student and alumni evaluation, cost value, matriculation and academic success.
The program requires 36 hours of history courses and 18 hours of history electives. The degree option focuses on modern American, European and Asian History.
