Club Sport exists to provide the Nicholls community with a variety of opportunities for personal growth and development. The programs offer undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity in extramural competition against other clubs, schools, colleges, and university from across the state and country. The opportunities provide student-focused growth and leadership in a student-driven environment.
While housed within campus recreation, club sports are registered student organizations, therefore students must comprise the majority of membership, and serve as club officers. For more information on how to create a club, visit the student organization page.
The Men’s Club Soccer team is comprised of dedicated and competitive undergraduate and graduate students who compete in the Louisiana division of the Texas Collegiate Soccer League. Structured trainings and matches against other universities in Louisiana and Texas allows students to participate in highly competitive sport activities, and enhance their soccer skills while enjoying social camaraderie derived from sports involvement.
For more information on trying out for the team, email Walt Hammerli at walt.hammerli@nicholls.edu
We ride and race our bikes as part of USA Cycling’s Collegiate Cycling program. We race against clubs at Tulane, LSU, UL-L, University of Texas, University of Houston, and many others. When we’re not racing, we ride with alumni and others in the Houma-Thibodaux area.
All Nicholls students are welcome.

Colonel Esports is an organization dedicated to competitive gaming and the gaming community. We not only encourage those that would like to compete, but also those that would like to learn about the way an esports team runs, to reach out and participate in our club. We always have room for one more. Currently, we have two teams for our college call of duty league but are always looking for players and students who would love to learn leadership skills and assist with coaching new teams as we expand our horizons.
For questions or if you’d like to join the team competitively or as an officer, email Elizabeth Layton, head coach and advisor at elizabeth.layton@nicholls.edu
