Art Education
| Bring art to the classroom.
The Nicholls Department of Art, in conjunction with the Department of Teacher Education, offers two degree programs for students interested in art education. The four-year program leads to the Bachelor of Arts in Art Education. The curriculum combines art, education and psychology courses as well as a semester of student teaching in a local school. Art course requirements include beginning-level studio classes, art history survey courses and 12 hours of 300-level or above art electives. The five-year program leads to a combined degree, the Bachelor of Arts in Art and Bachelor of Arts in Art Education. The extra year of coursework allows students to enroll in more advanced art courses. |
