Why did YOU choose Nicholls?

Initially, I chose Nicholls only to study culinary arts at the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. Attending Colonel Day, Scholars’ Night, and orientation made my decision a lot easier as I began to fall more and more in love with the campus each time I returned. The environment here is like no other.

What is the best thing about Nicholls?

The best thing about our campus is the plethora of opportunities Nicholls provides to meet new people. Whether it’s your roommate, a classmate, or someone you meet at one of our events, there’s always a chance to meet new people and make new friends.

How did Nicholls help to develop you professionally, socially, academically?

Nicholls has truly helped me improve my networking skills. I began my journey here as a shy student. Living on campus, getting involved, and working for the university have all developed me into a better leader and improved my communication skills as well. I find that it is just as easy for me to socialize with other recruiters while traveling as it is here with my Colonel family.

I selected Nicholls because I knew it could provide a personalized experience, a large selection of programs, and offer it all at an affordable cost.

What is the best thing about Nicholls?

The individualized learning environment both on campus and in the classroom is Nicholls’ greatest feature. Meeting new people and making friends is easy to do on a campus this size that has such a welcoming attitude with something exciting happening at every corner.

I’ve worked closely with the honors program and student access center on campus to ensure my success and growth academically. Socially, Nicholls provides the perfect environment with many different clubs and organizations and all of the fun events that happen on campus. My professional development started when I became a student worker, then advanced when I became a graduate assistant, and continues to grow as a faculty member.
