Why did YOU choose Nicholls?

Initially, I chose Nicholls only to study culinary arts at the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. Attending Colonel Day, Scholars’ Night, and orientation made my decision a lot easier as I began to fall more and more in love with the campus each time I returned. The environment here is like no other.

What is the best thing about Nicholls?

The best thing about our campus is the plethora of opportunities Nicholls provides to meet new people. Whether it’s your roommate, a classmate, or someone you meet at one of our events, there’s always a chance to meet new people and make new friends.

How did Nicholls help to develop you professionally, socially, academically?

Nicholls has truly helped me improve my networking skills. I began my journey here as a shy student. Living on campus, getting involved, and working for the university have all developed me into a better leader and improved my communication skills as well. I find that it is just as easy for me to socialize with other recruiters while traveling as it is here with my Colonel family.

Why did YOU choose Nicholls?

I decided to attend Nicholls because of its location. It allowed me to stay close with my family while also developing long lasting connections, which I still have to this day.

What is the best thing about Nicholls?

One of the best things about Nicholls is its sense of community. Once you attend your first day of classes, you will know the feeling. Everyone is so welcoming!

How did Nicholls help to develop you professionally, socially, academically?

Nicholls has helped me grow in various ways. Through the help of willing faculty and staff, I was able to secure a student worker position in undergrad. My position later developed into a Graduate Assistant position, teaching me organizational and leadership skills and creating opportunities to socialize with different organizations on campus.
