EDLE 501. Introduction to Ethical Leadership and Assessment Technology. 0-1-0.    Co-requisite: Enrollment in EDFR 501. This course serves to establish the interconnectedness of all courses and field experience activities in the program, as well as, help the candidate develop assessment skills and use technological resources.   S or U assigned upon completion of course. EDLE 507. Facilitating Best Practices to Improve Instruction. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Semesters 1-3 of the K-12 School Leadership Program. EDLE 508. Practices in School Leadership for School Improvement. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: Successful completion of EDFR 501, EDFR 504, EDLE 501, and admission to educational leadership cohort. Introduction to principles, theories, and best practices in educational leadership. EDLE 522. Application of Best Practices to Improve Teaching and Learning. 3-3-0. Prerequisites: EDFR 501; EDLE 501, EDFR 502; EDLE 508; EDCI 503. Evaluation and study of current critical issues in the design and delivery of curriculum in general; critical analyses of existing school curricula; focus on curricular design for effective educational leadership delivering numeracy and literacy across grade levels and diverse populations. EDLE 530. Creating a Culture for Teaching and Learning. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Semesters 1-5 in the K-12 School Leadership Program. This course addresses principles and strategies for facilitating instructional leadership by focusing on school culture with emphasis on teaching and learning in the elementary and secondary schools. An introduction of the role of a educational leader to promote change through evaluation using qualitative and quantitative information for local school improvement and increased student achievement. EDLE 536. Evaluating and Implementing Programs for School. Improvement. 3-3-0. Prerequisites:   Completion of EDFR 501 and EDLE 535 or equivalent.   An introduction of the role of an educational leader to promote change through evaluation using rational processes and qualitative and quantitative information for local school improvement and increased student achievement. EDLE 590. Management of School Operations and Facilities. 3-3-0. Prerequisite: Completion of foundational core and admission to cohort. Designed to help the educational leader develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively manage the organization and its facilities in a manner that promotes efficiency, safety and an environment that promotes student learning. EDLE 594. Capstone: Internship in School Leadership. (3-1-10). Prerequisite:   Successful completion of K-12 School Leadership courses.   This course provides supervised experiences in school leadership by the leadership faculty members and K-12 school leaders.    (13.0401)
