Dr. K. Young is active in the scholarship of teaching and learning with a focus on astronomy and physics education. She is passionate about science literacy and has led physics and astronomy activities at many K-12 and public outreach events. Dr. K. Young also works in the area of star formation and the structure of molecular clouds and is an expert in the reduction and analysis of data from the Spitzer Space Telescope.
