Dr. Stiegler received his Ph.D from Texas A&M University in 1989. He received a research grant from the American Institute of Pakistan Studies in 1991 to conduct research in Pakistan, and also received the Sasakawa Fellowship in Japanese History/Culture in 2005. He has published articles on Eisenhower foreign policy and on World History pedagogy, as well as taught lectures on World History, Military Studies, Asian Studies, Modern Europe, and Middle Eastern Studies. Dr. Stiegler taught as adjunct at two HBCUs and has acted as a mentor to the National World War II Museum’s Normandy Leadership Academy from 2016-19 and in 2022.
