THIBODAUX – Hoda Kotb, co-anchor of the NBC News Today Show, delivered the keynote address Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Leadership Institute and Statewide Meeting of the Louisiana Center for Women and Government in Baton Rouge.
Kotb discussed her professional journey from WWL-TV in New Orleans to the Today Show, as well as her battle with breast cancer. Other conference attendees included former Louisiana Governors Buddy Roemer, David Treen and Kathleen Blanco. The Louisiana Center for Women and Government, housed at Nicholls State University, develops programs to make women more aware of the governmental process in general and urges women to participate actively in the process. The center also sponsors internships for college students in state government offices in Baton Rouge.
