Nicholls honored again by federal government

THIBODAUX – For the fourth consecutive year, Nicholls State University has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Launched in 2006, the list recognizes colleges and universities nationwide that support innovative community service and service-learning programs. Nicholls to host children’s art exhibit

The Nicholls State University Folk Art Studio in Chauvin, La., will host a children’s art exhibition Monday, March 1, through Saturday, April 3. The exhibition titled “My Wetlands,” is presented by Bayou Grace Community Services, a non-profit organization that provides outreach, services and advocacy to the 5 bayou communities of Terrebonne Parish (Bayou Petite Caillou, Bayou Terrebonne, Bayou Pointe aux Chenes, Bayou Grand Caillou and Bayou Dularge).
