Players bring Armadillo Acres to Nicholls

Nicholls State University’s acting troupe, the Nicholls Players, offered four public performances of “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” as part of Homecoming Week 2011.

Presented in Talbot Theater on Thursday, Oct. 20; Friday, Oct. 21; and Sunday, Oct. 23, the production was the first musical performed by the players in 14 years. Pictured from left are Linoleum, also known as Lin, the desperate housewife played by Ivanna Brooks, a vocal performance sophomore from Thibodaux; Betty, the widowed owner of Armadillo Acres (a north Florida trailer park in the town of Snarke), played by Nancy Chauvin, a special education K-12 freshman from Houma; and Donna, also known as Pickles, played by Mercedes Hebert, a vocal music education sophomore from Raceland.
