FCED 239. Preschool Practicum. 6-0-20. Prerequisite:  Grade of C or higher in FCED and EDUC required coursework. A minimum of twelve weeks of work experience in an approved inclusive preschool, a birth to three facility, and home-based instruction experiences within a school district. Examination of birth to five services, assessment and management models inclusive of special education. Topics will cover legal, political, financial, and administrative issues relevant to the director of birth to five programs as well as development of lesson plans, curriculum design and assessment. FCED 450. Residency I in the Early Childhood Classroom. 6-0-20. Prerequisites: 2.5 GPA and passing scores on all required parts of the PRAXIS examination and completion of all pre-residency block coursework. Candidates will be engaged in level one, two, and three field experiences in an approved Birth to 5 setting for a minimum of 60% of the PK-3 semester. S or U assigned upon completion of course.
