Nicholls Presents 2007 Homecoming Royalty and Court

THIBODAUX – The 2007 Homecoming Queen, King and Court of Nicholls State University were presented at the Homecoming football game against McNeese State University on Oct. 20.

Homecoming Queen Stacy-Ann SmithQueen Stacy-Ann Smith, psychology senior from St. Catherine, Jamaica, was crowned by Dr. Stephen Hulbert, president of Nicholls. Honoring Smith and her king, Kenneth Temple, culinary arts senior from New Orleans, was Roger P. Hamilton Jr., president of the Nicholls Alumni Federation, Debbie Raziano, director of alumni affairs and chair of the Homecoming Committee at Nicholls, and Clive Cloutier, Homecoming Grand Marshal.

Smith, daughter of Keith and Evangeline Smith, is also president of Alpha II Omega, past-president of the Nicholls International Community and a member of Precious Jewels. Smith was nominated by the NAACP.

Temple is the son of Kenneth and Sharon Temple. He has appeared on the Frank Davis Show on WWL-TV Channel 4, has catered a party for New Orleans Mayor Ray Naguin for 1,500 guests and plans to study abroad in Italy next year. Temple was nominated by the National Panhellenic Court.
