Nicholls dinner to focus on business etiquette

THIBODAUX – The Society for Human Resource Management and Office of Career Services at Nicholls State University will host a business etiquette dinner Monday, March 10, at 6 p.m. in the Plantation Suite of the Bollinger Student Union.

Dr. Sonya Premeaux, associate dean for the College of Business Administration and associate professor of management, said the annual dinner is part of a growing trend on college campuses emphasizing business etiquette education. She spearheaded Nicholls’ inaugural etiquette dinner in 2003.

Dr. Terry Roach, certified business etiquette consultant and associate professor of business education at Arkansas State University, will headline the dinner, addressing such topics as dining etiquette and introductions in business situations.

The menu will include chicken and sausage gumbo, salad, bread, an entrée choice of pan seared chicken or tilapia, green beans, mashed potatoes, cheesecake and a beverage. Dress is business casual and door prizes will be awarded.
