THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University will host South Louisiana Saxophone Day on Tuesday, March 11, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Thibodaux.
The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a master class featuring students from Nicholls and Southeastern Louisiana University, followed by a 7:30 p.m. performance by Conn-Selmer artist and clinician Jeffrey E. Vickers. Aided by Sharon Ard, adjunct instructor of music at Southern Arkansas University, Vickers will present a concert of works by Vivaldi, Sancan, Heiden, Larsson and Iturralde.
The event is free and open to the public. St. John’s Episcopal Church is located at 718 Jackson St.
