THIBODAUX – In commemoration of Child Abuse Prevention Month, 158 pinwheels will be planted in the field adjacent to Ellender Memorial Library at Nicholls State University on Monday, April 21.
All media are invited to attend the half-hour event, slated to kick off at 3:30 p.m.
The pinwheels will be planted in conjunction with the regional Child Abuse Prevention Month meeting, hosted by the Family Service Center in the Captain’s Room of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union.
The national symbol of the campaign is the blue pinwheel, thousands of which are being planted across Louisiana to promote child abuse prevention awareness.
