Nicholls remains closed; campus repairs underway

THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University is in the process of determining the full extent of damages to the campus as a result of Hurricane Gustav.

Repairs to the campus, including the removal of fallen trees and debris, are well underway due to the assistance of our ULS colleagues.

A lack of electrical power remains the biggest problem for Nicholls.

The campus remains closed to all students and non-essential employees at this time. All essential employees – custodial, grounds, maintenance, and facilities staff and their supervisors are to report to campus immediately.

University Police are patrolling campus, maintaining order and assisting with recovery efforts.

Please continue to check your Nicholls e-mail account and the university Web site, www.nicholls.edu or https://emergency.www.nicholls.edu for updates.
