- Â Christmas Peace
The Nicholls Concert Choir will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Talbot Theater. Admission is free.
- Â Victoria & Edward: An English Christmas
The Nicholls Chamber Singers will perform Friday, Dec. 5, in the Bollinger Memorial Student Union Commons Area. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (985) 448-4600. Adult tickets are $35 each, and tickets for children 12 and under are $20. Special seating for couples is available for $40 per person. All tickets include a multi-course meal and can be purchased until noon on Wednesday, Dec. 3, via the Division of Music in 241 Talbot Hall. Checks should be made payable to “Nicholls State University.”
- 35th Anniversary TubaChristmas 2008
Slated for Sunday, Dec. 7, in Talbot Theater, this annual event showcases the talents of participating tuba and euphonium players. Registration for musicians is $5 per person and will begin at noon, Dec. 7, in Talbot Theater-followed by a rehearsal from 1 to 3 p.m. The concert, free to the public, will begin at 4 p.m. All tuba and euphonium players are invited to participate, although the music is probably not suitable for performance by most beginning students. Novices are encouraged to attend the concert to hear what these instruments should sound like. All participants are encouraged to dress in holiday attire and/or bright colors. TubaChristmas scarves and hats will be sold at the event, and musicians may also decorate their instruments. Prizes will be awarded.
