THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University’s student theater program – the Nicholls Players – will present four productions this week of “Arsenic and Old Lace” in Talbot Theater on the Nicholls campus.
Slated for 7:30 p.m. nightly from Thursday, March 19, to Saturday, March 21 – and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 22 – the play centers on two elderly sisters who are famous in their Brooklyn neighborhood for their numerous acts of charity. Written by Joseph Kesselring and directed by Dr. Stanley Coleman, assistant professor of mass communication, the play combines elements of the farcical and the macabre.
Admission is $5 for students with valid identification and $10 for non-students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by phone at (985) 448-4586.
A post-performance reception sponsored by the Nicholls Student Programming Association is scheduled for opening night, Thursday, March 19.
