THIBODAUX – Renee Piper, director of university relations at Nicholls State University, is slated to appear on HTV-10’s Bayou Time program on Tuesday, Aug. 11, to discuss the university’s new athletics logo and mascot. The 15-minute segment will begin at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Piper will talk about the history behind the logo and mascot change, the year-long selection process and the costumed mascot’s upcoming debut.
“The new Col. Tillou has already generated quite a bit of public interest, and I look forward to addressing the key points,” Piper said. “It is my sincere wish that the Bayou Region community will come to rally around the new mascot and help cheer our student athletes to victory.”
