THIBODAUX – With a 3.68-percent enrollment increase since fall 2008, Nicholls State University has placed second out of eight University of Louisiana System institutions in enrollment percentage boosts. Only McNeese State University has reported a higher figure – 4.23 percent.
“As we’ve said before on several occasions, Nicholls has become the institution of choice for higher education in the Bayou Region and, increasingly, beyond,” Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, university president, said. “The new comparative enrollment figures are very encouraging, especially given the financial difficulties facing our state. Indeed, we at Nicholls will continue to fulfill our primary mission of producing a better-educated citizenry.”
