Nicholls freshman wins first place at organ festival

Freshman Tim Cook, organ and piano major at Nicholls State University, won first place in the beginner’s category at the Clarence Dickinson Organ Festival, hosted by William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss., on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Dr. Dickinson (1873-1969), for whom the festival was named, was a founding member of the American Guild of Organists and the School of Sacred Music at Union Theological Seminary in New York. His archive is housed at William Carey University.
