Nicholls to host service learning conference

THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University and the University of Louisiana System will host a service learning mini-conference on Monday, April 26, in the Bollinger Memorial Student Union on the Nicholls campus.

Slated for 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., the conference is free and open to all Louisiana faculty members who are interested in incorporating service learning into their classes – as well as community members who are interested in partnering with Nicholls to conduct a service learning project. The event will allow participants to exchange ideas and learn how service learning can promote learning and strengthen communities. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. Those interested must visit www.nicholls.edu/cafe – or send an e-mail to lori.soule@www.nicholls.edu – by Tuesday, April 20.
