THIBODAUX – Nominations for the third class of the Hall of Distinction at Nicholls State University are now open. Individuals or groups nominated must have promoted, enhanced or elevated the state of intercollegiate Nicholls athletics and been instrumental in the role that athletics plays in the lives of student athletes.
“Because athletics remain an integral part of the American university scene, it is important for us to recognize individuals who have contributed to the well-being of our student athletes,” Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, university president, said. “Once again we will invite the honorees to campus to honor and thank them for helping to improve the college experience for our student athletes.”
Nominees, who need not have attended or graduated from Nicholls, must have distinguished themselves in service and leadership by playing an active role in supporting Nicholls athletics. Their service may have been a particular accomplishment or a sustained and exemplary record of service and support.
Nominations can be submitted by members of the Colonel Athletic Association, Nicholls faculty, staff, retirees and alumni. Letters of nomination, outlining the nominee’s qualifications, must be submitted to Dr. David Boudreaux, vice president for institutional advancement, by Friday, December 10.
Send letters via postal mail to P.O. Box 2066, Thibodaux, La., 70301 – or via e-mail to david.boudreaux@www.nicholls.edu.
