Nicholls offers support for students affected by floods

THIBODAUX – Students at Nicholls State University whose personal finances and mobility might change as a result of the 2011 Louisiana floods will receive all necessary attention and support from the university administration.

All students who are financially affected by the floods are asked to call the Office of Financial Aid at (985) 448-4048 and request the services of a financial counselor.

Online information is available at www.nicholls.edu/finaid/flood.

“We are closely monitoring the ongoing flooding as well as its impact on a large percentage of the students we serve,” Courtney Cassard, director of enrollment services, said. “Nicholls is committed to helping all our students and their families accomplish their academic goals.”

The Nicholls Counseling Center is also available to students, faculty and staff for emotional assistance. For information, go to www.nicholls.edu/counseling.
