Laser scanning lab opens at Nicholls

The official dedication of the Harold C. “Charlie” Poche Jr. Laser Scanning Laboratory in Nicholls State University’s Gouaux Hall on Friday, Oct. 28, included a photo portrait unveiling of Poche, the late owner and president of Navigation Electronics Inc.

Paul Guidry, grandson. One-of-a-kind in Louisiana, the geomatics program in the Department of Applied Science prepares students for careers as land surveyors, construction surveyors, mappers and planners.
