Dr. Ronald A. Berk, professor emeritus of biostatistics and measurement and former assistant dean for teaching at The Johns Hopkins University, delivered the keynote address to Nicholls State University employees during the first faculty meeting of the spring 2012 semester.
Titled “A Tribute to Teaching: Humor and Multimedia to Engage the Net Generation,” the presentation stressed the need for 21st century educators to utilize new teaching strategies in order to better engage their students.
