Company funds Nicholls Geomatics scholarships

CUTLINE 10/22/12

Morris P. Hebert Inc. (MPH), a Houma-based surveying and engineering company, donated funds for five $1,000 annual scholarships to benefit Nicholls State University geomatics students. “The geomatics program is an asset to Nicholls and the profession,” said Morris P. Hebert, MPH chief executive officer and president. “We’ve had great students work internships with us in the summer, and we’ve hired quite a number of them full time. We’re lucky to have the only program in the state here at Nicholls and want to continue to support it.” Hebert was part of the group that helped bring the geomatics program, now in its 10th year, to Nicholls.
