THIBODAUX — The Nicholls Alumni Federation will host the John Brady Golf Classic Friday, Oct. 11 at the LaTour Golf Course in Mathews.
The classic will feature 100-plus golfers, including area alumni and friends of Nicholls State University. Individual golfers can register for $150, and a corporate foursome can play for $600. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Nicholls Alumni Federation, allowing the group to give more scholarships, increase the monetary amount of current scholarships and fund alumni and student events.
Brady, who died in 2008, was a local businessman who spent more than a decade developing LaTour. Brady and wife Clara Brady have made great contributions to Nicholls, and the event was named in his honor.
